EXPLORE THE GARDEN
There are 5 acres (2 hectares) of gardens, kitchen garden, orchard and wild flower meadow to enjoy at Bocombe Mill Cottage.

The complete list of features and special gardens covered by the walk is shown on the Circular walk page, and there are spectacular views and hundreds of plant species to be enjoyed on the way! There's a plan and tree guide of our circular walk available when visiting Bocombe Mill Cottage.

Nine themed flower gardens blooming all year round with four new gardens under construction.
Kitchen garden - highly productive.
New soft fruit garden and raised asparagus bed.
Orchard with half an acre of ancient and new fruit trees on the hill side next to the old mill.
Bog garden along side Willow Brook, with Astilbe, moisture loving Primula, Gunerra (giant umbrella plants) and many more.
Stream tumbling the entire length of one side of the garden & meadow.
Two small lakes stocked with hundreds of native fish and water plants such as Lilies, Water Hawthorn, Pickeral Plants and Arum Lilies.
Wild flower meadow with hundreds of plant species - wildlife abounds; birds such as woodpeckers, owls, heron, kingfishers, buzzards and song thrush; mammals including badgers and deer; reptiles & amphibians including toads, frogs, newts, tiny garden lizards and English snakes (the harmless slowworms and grass snakes).
