Gourmet Dinners

A set menu mainly featuring our own produce eaten with your hosts and other guests is served in the relaxing, candle lit dining room with log burning stove.

Gourmet Dinners must be booked at least 48 hours ahead and cost £34 per person.
You will not see “Home Made” on our menus, as virtually everything is not only home-made, but home produced. That’s how “unique” Bocombe Mill Cottage Gourmet Dinners are!

As an example, an spring menu might consist of:

Bantam eggs filled with goats cheese and pastry boats baked with local cheeses

A Chef's surprise

Roast Gloucester Old Spot with spring garden vegetables

Rhubarb & meringue flan with Bocombe ginger ice cream

Filter Coffee & Handmade Petit Fours

Again this season we’re pleased to offer not only our own fruit and vegetables, plus cheeses and milk, but our own meats too. All grown and produced using organic principles. Our few, rare breed Gloucester Old Spot pigs are fed on milk, whey and barley, plus what they root out of the hillside for themselves. Our own kid, spring lamb and free range chickens from the Bocombe hillside are available too. We also serve other meat, such as local venison and beef, and (when in season) pheasant from our neighbour’s woods.

Our unique, good value Gourmet Dinners are available to order every night. Menus depend upon what is in season - we serve freshness and flavour from organic ingredients!

And we hope you'll join us for a drink prior to dinner at 7.30pm. A relaxing G&T is an excellent way to start the evening!

The example menu provided is an illustration only. As we offer set menus do tell us well ahead of any foods you don’t eat. Vegetarians are asked to be specific about the foods they will eat, for example, fish. We do not use GM ingredients, but do follow organic principles!

We are not licensed so feel free to bring your own wines for dinners. A full range of non-alcoholic drinks are available, so there’s no need to bring these.

There are also many thatched hostelries nearby offering a variety of inn fare.
