In our new, north conservatory we’ve just planted a stoneware trough with a selection of bulbs, mostly on the tender side, and a variety of succulents, that are certainly tender! The bulbs include Calochortus luteus Golden Orb, Commelina tuberosa Blue,
Ornithogalum thyrsoides and mixed Rhodohypoxis. We’re looking forwards to a summer and autumn of splendid exotic flowers in a miniature garden, protected not so much from any cold winds but in recent years the persistent summer rain we often have close to the coast in north west Devon!
